JOURNAL OF DOOM!

I think the year was 2002. Kevin had a "Team Fortress Classic" server running and we built lots of stuff on it for the game. We built a giant refrigerator and cannons. We built jail cells, houses, monsters and all sorts of stuff. "Team Fortress Classic" is a modification for the game "Half Life" and it changes almost everything. We were using a thing called "Admin OP" which is modification software. If you could think of it - you could probably create it. We could never get driveable cars, but we got pretty close.

He doesn't have the server anymore. The thing called "ONE" which was an online network that we used was taken down and replaced with an online service called "Steam." We could never get "Admin OP" mods to run on "Steam."

We built this nightclub thing for the game with stuff we found in a game map. We had a DJ Zombie. He had a turn table set up and everything and we made it pretty convincing the way his arms moved. Everybody that signed on to play thought he was funny but they kept killing him. Hey, just because he craves human flesh is no reason to hate him! He was safely contained in his mixing booth! DJ Zombie was awesome.

We couldn't actually have the music playing directly from his turntable. You could assign a button to play the song so we had a special console where you could type in a command (admin_speak df/radioloops/ramp) to access the sound folder and songs.
